LIS Outreach Project:
"Community Superstars"
The Seniors' Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) of North Carolina created the “Community Superstars” Coalition to reach the hardest-to-reach LIS eligible beneficiaries. By partnering with respected leaders in the community, the Community Superstars effort has proven to be an effective way to dig deeper into the beneficiary population and provide information to the beneficiaries who are slipping through the cracks.
North Carolina has made a variety of its Community Superstars and LIS materials available to the SHIP network for replication, including:
