Families USA Content Submission Policy

All content (photos, video, messages or any other submitted materials) submitted (including through submission of a URL link to a video on a separate website) to the Families USA Scrooged Holiday Greetings Campaign shall be subject to and shall comply with the following:

1. The content submitted is Appropriate Content in accordance with the following standards. Appropriate Content is content that:
• Contains no statements about elections, candidates or voting.
• Does not violate any other person's copyrights, privacy rights, trademarks, trade secrets, or rights in other confidential information.
• Is not libelous, defamatory, obscene or profane.
• Is not intended to threaten the safety of others and does not have the effect of causing a reasonable person to perceive a threat to his or her safety.
• Contains no "viruses," "worms," "Trojan horse" or any other contaminating or destructive features, or features designed to interfere with or disrupt the normal flow or use of this website.
• Content not meeting these standards will not be posted online. 
2. Users submitting content must be at least 18 years old.
3. Users submitting content are the only person depicted in the photo or video or have the permission of all other persons depicted in the photo or video to submit the photo or video to this website. No one else has any rights in the photo, video or other content submitted or, if someone else has rights in this photo, video or other content (for example, a friend who took the photo or video or wrote the content), she or he has given permission to submit the photo, video and/or content in accordance with this Content Submission Policy. 
4. By submitting this content, Families USA is granted an unconditional, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use any content that was submitted in any way that is useful to Families USA. This includes the right to assign, edit, modify, or dispose of the photo, video, messages or other content and to use it or them in promotional materials of Families USA and its affiliates, including on this website or any of its other websites, or in print, video, and all other forms of media.
5. Families USA does not have to give individuals credit for this content when it is used in any way by Families USA; however, Families USA shall, at its option, have the right to use individuals’ names in connection with any content that is submitted. 
6. Neither the person depicted in the photo nor the person who took the photo or video or wrote any messages will receive any compensation for any use or uses of this content by Families USA, its affiliates, or assignees. 
7. Families USA, at its option, may choose not to use or display any submitted content and may remove any content from this website after display on this website.
8. Under no circumstances shall Families USA be required to return any of the content that is submitted.

All users who submit content must agree to and accept the above Content Submission Policy and the terms of Families USA’s privacy policy.
