America need health reform more than ever. The costs of health care have outpaced workers’ wages, jeopardized the survival of businesses, and led more and more people to lose their insurance coverage. As a result, the number of Americans who delay or forgo medical care and die prematurely has increased at a dangerous rate. At the same time, insurance companies’ profits rose 428% between 2000 and 2007.

Health reform is the answer. It will reduce the federal deficit by $132 billion by 2019 and provide coverage to at least 31 million Americans. If health reform doesn’t happen—if nothing is done to make health care coverage more affordable for America's families and businesses—the results will be devastating.
