2. What Is Global Health Research?

Global health research is medical research that focuses on finding solutions—better diagnostics, drugs, vaccines, and other prevention strategies—for global health problems.

When people in the United States hear the term "global health," most think of health problems specific to developing countries, but global health issues like malaria and HIV/AIDS have a broad impact that can affect everyone.
