My name is Mike Volpe, I'm 51 years old and was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis just after graduating from college. The disease has progressed and now I'm confined to a wheelchair. I do not have any voluntary movement below my neck and I'm legally blind. I receive home care through Medicaid, which includes home care workers, medical supplies such as a hospital bed and 24-hour care.

In home care gives me the opportunity to participate in my community. I am an advocate for people with disabilities, go to Church and see my family and friends on a regular basis. I am able to live somewhat of a normal life. I feel my quality of life is being threatened by cuts in Medicaid, and without the program I don't see how I would survive.

Medicaid is my lifeline. Please help preserve it.
