Kathleen Stoll - Director of Health Policy
Kathleen D. Stoll is the Director of Health Policy at Families USA, a national nonprofit organization that is dedicated to the achievement of high-quality, affordable health care for all Americans. In this position, she oversees the organization's formulation of health policy positions and the analysis of specific health care proposals. Ms. Stoll also oversees the delivery of technical assistance to state advocates and state legislators on health policy and programs.
Prior to joining Families USA, Ms. Stoll served for 10 years as the Director of Public Policy at the Center for Women Policy Studies, a nonprofit, multi-issue policy research and advocacy organization. Ms. Stoll also served as the Director of the National Resource Center on Women and AIDS Policy of the Center for Women Policy Studies. The Resource Center was the first national, woman-focused effort to address the impact of the AIDS epidemic on women, to bring critical women and AIDS policy issues before federal AIDS policy makers, and to bring the voices of women living with HIV/AIDS into the policy arena.
In addition, Ms. Stoll has served as the Legislative Director for U.S. Congressman Robert T. Matsui and as a Special Assistant for Health and Welfare Issues for the House Ways and Means Committee. Her legislative experience also includes serving as Staff Attorney for the Committee on Human Services of the District of Columbia City Council. Her first job in Washington, D.C. was as a Revson Foundation Women's Law and Public Policy Fellow working at the National Health Law Program.
