Families USA Joins Additional Amicus Brief to Stop the Trump Administration’s Harmful Marketplace Integrity Rule

09.16.2026

Families USA joined an amicus brief in a lawsuit to stop the Trump administration’s harmful “marketplace integrity rule” from going into effect. The case, City of Columbus et al v. Kennedy et al, challenges a rule that would allow marketplace health plans to cover less of the cost of care, shorten the open enrollment period, and increase paperwork burdens for people enrolling in marketplace coverage. A judge issued a decision in July enjoining several harmful provisions in the rule, and the Trump administration has appealed.
